If you can get out there, its a cracker. The swell at Hove is already up to head high and chunky. Its still warm, shorty for me. Wind is only a fraction off dead onshore, its been a while since I've sailed that onshore. If you're not confident at punching out from the shore, then I would suggest Shoreham for a better angle at the surf. But you will get less of the bigger lumps. The wind is patchy and only really 5.5m strength. I went for the RWW 83 for a bit more float and it was bang on. Never overpowered. Waves are clean enough to go down the line a bit, clew first, the new RWW83 loved it. Upwind you can cruise on the face, whack the lip, off the foam and gybe with ease. Only kites out there and one lunatic swimmer 100 yds out from the beach, swimming parallel. Great session, full of confidence.
